Teaching with the use of technology is one of the key educational strategies of current times. Part of this is ensuring that you have the right balance of technology to suit the learning community and the other is that is used effectively in teaching, learning and administration.
Here at AIC technology is an integral part of the learning experience for our students. Research shows that students from the current generation require technological solutions to many aspects of learning and school life. On this page, we will introduce the key technology elements in use at AIC that help our students: Achieve, Inspire and Create.
Engage is a flexible, tailor-made cross-platform management information system. It integrates the school operations into one system, ensuring smooth administration and management related to human resources, students, finance, education programs, marketing, recruitment and school-parent relationship.
AIC has a parent portal within which parents can track their child’s progress. Parents can check their child’s schedule, check their attendance and find out more about the teachers teaching them. Report Cards are also posted online for parents to view via a secure username and password.
Students are provided with their own AIC email and receive regular emails from school staff. The email is available via either a desktop client (such as Outlook) as well as via a website access. Students’ data is kept secure by the use of randomized and changing passwords.
AIC uses Moodle as its online learning platform. Moodle is a well-known, popular and trusted platform that allows teachers to create online units of work, deposit resources and homework and collect assignments. Moodle is available both internally and externally for all students and staff.
AIC provides teachers with a web based portal for grading assessments, taking attendance and report writing. This system is available both on campus and at home for staff to use.
Wi-Fi is enabled across the whole campus, offering online access to materials.
